Know my suffering,
See the hidden things within my eyes,
A darkness darker than the night,
A pain deeper than death.
Feel my scars,
Hear the voice of someone who knows death before you,
A shell that walks between the waking and sleeping world,
A man in prison,
A child alone,
A human mutated and mutilated.

There is no comfort even with closed eyes,
Every wound is open,
Every pain laid bare.
Embrace me and feel the sore skin,
The tired bones,
The restless energy longing to escape it's glass house.
I see even in the darkness now,
I have lost everything to find myself again, but it's as if I can't live with it.

Kiss me and feel the life leave my lips,
hate me if you must,
Be my sword, drive it home,
Pierce my heart, ease my suffering.
I see nothing in the light,
I lost everything just to remember, now all I want is to forget.

Hope is the lie we created,
Hell is what we live with,
Heaven is a dream,
God is a fairy tale.
